French Drain Digging Phase One

Today Chris finished digging 140 feet of French drain. It took 50 to 60 hours with the Kubota, plus some extra hours of manual digging out large rocks and grading. We'll do another 140 feet or so next year. The ditch is 2 feet wide, 2 feet deep. That boulder we dug out of the ditch is put to good use in the rock garden. Our next step is to fill this portion of the ditch with gravel, fabric cloth, piping, and soil.
